In reference to Bishop Robertson's message about Fr. Ed Harnsberger: the latest news I have heard is that he is out of rehab and back in his own apartment, is driving again, and plans to have his 50th ordination anniversary celebration in the Spring, probably in April, but still needs our prayers.

Comments: Greetings in the Name of our Lord:
A couple of things worthy of noting for the good of the Order:
1. The Reverend Bill Hibbert is in the hospital again in Rapid City. Apparently there is a problem with the heart medication that is preventing Bill from having other treatments he needs at this time. Please pray for Fr. Bill, and if you have an opportunity, drop him a note.
2. The Presiding Bishop will be at the annual Niobrara Convocation which will be held at Eagle Butte on the Cheyenne River Episcopal Mission. The dates for the Convocation are June 19-22, 2008. Information has come to my attention, concerning a protest of her presence in this Diocese, but that remains unconfirmed at this time.
3. The Presiding Bishop will also be in the Diocese on October 31, 2009, and a few days on either side of that date, for the Ordination and Consecration of the Tenth Bishop of South Dakota, and a visit to the Diocese.
4. I have not received an update on the health issues of the Reverend Canon Ed Harnsberger at this time. I will check with his parish for an official update of his health situation.
5. The pre-Lent Clergy Retreat at Blue Cloud Abbey has been cancelled for lack of attendees. Another attempt will be made next year. Contrary to one stated opinion, the program was not designed as Diocesan Propaganda!
6. There may be a Clergy Retreat prior to the Annual Diocesan Convention in Chamberlain in October, 2008. Plans are being made to have all events including the Opening Eucharist at the Cedar Shore Convention Center. More information about the convention will be forthcoming.
Peace

To Bishop Creighton and all of you I have heard from across this great diocese and to the many who came from afar for Bill's memorial service, thank you for your messages, kindnesses and blessings. It certainly eased the pain that I was feeling in the loss of Bill. Your prayers were such a help!
All of my family have returned home and are safely back--thanks be to God! They were such a blessing to be with me--My niece, Sharon Pike Sarvak, who lives in Palm Desert, CA extended her stay to be here and she was such a help ..She had come earlier to be with her mother, who is not well.
I can't give Father Pearson enough praise for his love, guidance, and care of Bill, me and my family. He is most special!
There is much to do to put "my house in order" and I have begun those tasks--and it will take some time. I grow weary so rest a lot in between.
Thank you one and all. Life goes on! Inez
