Comments: Greetings this Tuesday of the week: I have received information from Fr. Phil Allen, that the annual Niobrara Convocation for 2008, will be held on the Cheyenne River Episcopal Mission, Eagle Butte (I have not been advised of the exact place), on June 19-22, 2008. Our special guest for this Convocation will be the Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Shori, who will be the Celebrant and Preacher on Sunday June 22. I would encourage all congregations in this Diocese to consider having someone attend this Convocation, clergy attendance would be important. I would encourage congregations to not present individuals for Confirmation or Baptism, I think those should b done locally this next year if possible. I do not anticipate any Ordinations next year, unless told otherwise by the COM. So the Convocation should be entirely focused on the PB as special guest and the business of the Convocation. A highlight for me at the Ft. Thompson Convocation, was that my Auntie, Christine Dunhum, performed a ceremony on my behalf, that adopted Mercy Hobbs as my sister. It was a very humbling moment for myself, and my family. I was most happy to welcome Mercy into my family as my sister. I am looking forward to the work we need to do in this Diocese over the next year. Peace, +Creighton of South Dakota

Please keep Vernon Cloud in your prayers this week as he is scheduled to have surgery on Thursday in Fargo. I was with him over the weekend and he is in constant severe pain and can't wait to get the surgery completed. He hasn't lost his sense of humor and was able to attend at least three meetings this weekend. He and Sharon and family will appreciate your prayers.

Comments: Hey, a shout-out to all Deacons! How about an informal get-together after the clergy dinner? Talk, drink, talk more. Woulda think?
