We are happy to report that Bishop Robertson's foot is healing nicely and he hopes to be back in regular shoes next week. The doctors wanted him to stay home with his foot elevated for 3 weeks, but after a few days he decided it would be better for his sanity if he came to work for a few hours a day and kept his foot elevated. And so it has gone.
Barring any unforeseen complication, he will resume his planned schedule of visits and other duties next week.
He thanks you all for your prayers.
The Rt. Rev. James Jelinek, Bishop of Minnesota, will ordain Barbara Dudley Fairbanks to the transitional Diaconate on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Mark's Cathedral in Minneapolis. Barbara is the daughter of Eva Dudley of Aberdeen. Please keep Barb in your prayers.
Bishop Robertson is in Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls undergoing treatment for a potentially serious infection on his foot.
We will update as we hear things. Please keep him in your prayers.
As some of you know, this last fall Wendy was having some more health problems that the doctors could not pin down. She was treated for pneumonia for two weeks but the symptoms still remained. The doctor then decided to send us to a pneumonologist and a cardiologist, long story short on September 17 they found 3 main arteries blocked and on September 18 she had triple by-pass surgery. She is doing fair now but we are having quite a time getting her blood pressure UP. I want to say thank you to those who visited us in the hospital, you don't know how much your support meant to me.
